Ticketing website restructure to
increase ticket sale conversions.

As the club has continued to grow with the likes of the womens and academy teams the website was becoming too complicated to navigate. Information wasn’t clear enough for the user resulting in complaints and loss of ticketing sales. There was also a big game by game fluctuation in womens ticket. With a huge push for the women's game it was vital that the process to purchase a women's game ticket was clear and easy.

Celebrating a major landmark in the clubs history I was in charge of creating a design strategy which paid homage to the club’s heritage, its loyal fanbase, and its bright future.

Solution

The goal was to clean up the website by sectioning key components into various categories whilst utilising colour theory. The way I approached the project was to have the landing page as a hub, which would allow for easier access to specific content. The first thing you see on the landing page is the upcoming mens fixtures as this will be what the majority of users will be visiting the website for, removing any needless steps. Each sub-category is assigned to a colour eg. original blue for the mens, light blue womens, light green academy etc.

Women's Team

A big push during my time at the club has been to amplify the excitement surrounding women’s football. We’ve successfully reached and engaged a large audience, leading to impressive results across platforms. The womens team needed their own look and feel which still aligned with the clubs branding. To differentiate the womens team from the first team I used colour. Utilising a lighter blue colour palette allows our fans to easily differentiate between the first team and womens. In hopes of enforcing their own identity out of the first teams shadow.
